Chaotica is extremely well optimised, I don't think you have to worry about that. What helps in other situations with other software is probably complicated and... different

Any plan to support Metal on macOS now that Apple ends support for OpenCL? |

Apple have claimed for years that they will end OpenCL support, and it's still working well on all 3 platforms, making it a rather low priority at the moment. |

I was trying out another fractal app that supports both OpenCL and Metal, the performance difference is quite impressive using Metal. |
