right now these features are not very useful because it's slow and hard to get the result.
Quote:
Pan: Alt + Left click and drag.
Scale: Alt + Right click and drag.
Rotate: Alt + Both mouse buttons and drag.


is it possible to create a image buffer and just pan, scale that buffer as a preview.
and only start real calculation when mouse button is released.

If you have AA level 1 then it should be quite responsive - ideally it would switch to AA level 1 automatically when you do a camera movement, still need to add this...

yep, that's what I do, I also change the image size to about 300x300 when adjusting camera.

but there is still some issue when doing the dragging, the distance I dragged is not same distance as the camera is moved. feels like rendering blocks mouse event handler.

What computer are you running this on? The render threads are independent of main/UI thread.

I'm using widnow8 64bit
here is a screen cast showing the issue, you should be able to hear my mouse up/down from the sound in the video, there is also a small red circle when mouse up/down event happens
