You will need IrfanView: download here
Open your image, and press S or go to File >> Save As
Set save as type to JPG
Tick the details/options checkbox
Disable chroma subsampling
Set a nice quality, let's say 95+
Back in the Save Picture As window click "Save"

can't you just save as jpeg from chaotica? and why would you want a jpeg over png?

Well, sometimes you do not want to share the original pngs.
Also, sometimes you have size restrictions, so you need a smaller file ^^

A jpeg image saved in this way will be about 1/2 size or better, and nearly indistinguishable.

Normal JPEG saving messes up the red channels especially hard, and PNG is just a bit too big for high resolution.

For printing in US companies typically suggest ~90-94 if that helps :D

Yeah, I don't even see the point of JPG over PNG if you are making a print for example.

It's not 1996 anymore, we can handle 20MB files, and the printer might as well get the perfect pixels :)
