Does anyone have any real world rendering tests with an M1 Max 64GB ram? How does the system handle Chaotica rendering and animation for HD or UHD content?

Not exactly as your specs but I'm using M1 Max with 32GB RAM, it is quite fast compared to my previous Intel i9.

Hopefully we'll see bug fixes soon (not sure if Thomas is keeping track of the reported bugs and when he feels like working on the app again).

I've tested rendering on the M2 Mac and it ran extremely well :) So I imagine the M1 Max should work great too.

Curious how the M1/M2 performs compared to the RTX 3090? One advantage with the M1/M2 Macs is the unified memory, while the 3090 is limited to 24GB.

Anyone using Chaotica with a 3090 GPU (which I have but my license is for Mac)?

Your license should be for whatever machine you want to run it on. If you converted it to the online license, simply login on the new machine and it should transfer.

Thanks Pugnacious. For some reason the online licensing never works on the Mac. Just tried on the PC and it logged in fine. However, on the Home page under Products, it shows:

Lease End: about 1 hour from now
Expires: 30 days from now

Is the online license limited or do I need to get a license with the hardware key?

That would be a question for someone at glare I think. I'm just a user and I happen to know a few things, but if licensing is different on Mac, that's a new one for me.

There is probably a login bug in the Mac version.
