I've just returned to Chaotic after a few years' absence. What I love about it is its ability to create these beautiful crisp lines -- except after hours and hours of trying to figure out how to do it, I can't. Any pointers? The example below is what I'm talking about. Everything I make has these soft, glowy edges, not these nice, tight lines. Thanks.

Not sure how this was made, but try adjusting the weights on iterations you want to be prominent. That can help bring them into focus. Also, moving the iterations using pre_affine and post_affine can also sharpen objects. What are you using for your first iterations?

I've just been using whatever the random world generator gives me that looks interesting, then tweaking from there. I haven't been paying much attention to pre- and post-affines, but I'll definitely experiment. Thanks for the reply!

No problem. Let me know if you have any other questions, and I'll try to help.

Also, try to start with something solid like a cylinder, square, or circles. You're probably not going to get much of anything sharp or solid from the Random World generator. Those tend to be feathery.
