I used Apophysis for quite a long time, and I know how it actually works, and now I am trying out chaotica but I don't get some things.

First, am I right that in pre and post-transforms functions are composed, instead of just added together?

Second, we can use any variation as pre-transform in chaotica, but there are "pre_blur" and "pre_gaussian" transforms, and we can use them in pre and post transforms too. So we can get something like "pre_blur 1" in pre-transforms, and that makes no sense to me.
What does it mean to have a pre_ transform in pre-transforms (or post-transforms)?
How do they combine with other transforms?
