Well, since the forum is rather dead ^^
a little ask me thread.

my gallery, for reference: http://tatasz.deviantart.com/gallery/

Feel free to ask me how to achieve a certain effect, or how to make a fractal structure, etc. If possible, add some pic links to the question =D

The Stars in "Curls" were they a brush in photoshop?

I am a lazyass and dont do any postwork on my fractals - 99% of my works are straight out of chaotica.
So no, no postwork =)

The stars are made by adding an iterator with a noise transform (about 0.01 though, else they get huge and ugly), and then lowering its weight to something like 0.05.

Same as previous, no postwork. This one has 2 blur iterators, one same technique as used in curls (noise) and another one using similar trick, but with sineblur and small amounts of other variations (the round blurs)

This bubbles?
Basically, just several iterators with two of those plugins: http://eralex61.deviantart.com/art/Circ ... -126273412
I dont recall the names now, but should be easy since there are only 3. One for the transform, making random circles, and another for the post transform, making the inner crops.

@lyc :D

Thanks so much for answering all of my questions.

I am trying to develop a technique for creating realistic Nebulas and Starfields... any quick tips or tricks?

Thanks so much!

This technique is a great base for starfields and stuff:
http://chaosfissure.deviantart.com/art/ ... -291811936
http://chaosfissure.deviantart.com/art/ ... -292665861

the tutorials are for Apo, but real easy to follow in chaotica too.
basically just place some iterators with a linear transform only, and then scale the affines down a bit and move and rotate around.
and then use the trick i described to add stars (noise and radials work great)

Ok this may be a lot to ask, but http://tatasz.deviantart.com/art/Leaves ... -437106247

That is so nice, how do you get the pattern and have is so sharp and crisp / symmetrical?

Well, this one is an Elliptic Splits pattern - they are usually pretty much like that
A little snapshot: http://sta.sh/01hetldavt69
pretty much a typical unblurred elliptic splits combo.
