How did you make this one? The coloring is great too... was this an Apo first then Chaotica?

First apo then chaotica, but could be easily done in Chaotica from blank.

The basic framework is a julian http://www.deviantart.com/art/Julia-Unc ... 2-49167519
(bubble + julian transforms, without the fancy stuffs around).

Then, on a new iterator, a sineblur with spherical post (creates the blur outside the bubbles)
For bubble, a pre blur_zoom transform.

Heya Tatasz, any chance you can make this available again? The link is broken...

Unfortunately, it was made for an older version of chaotica, and probably not compatible anymore.

I followed Satania's Elliptic Splits Tutorial and have learned a lot.

http://satania.deviantart.com/art/Tutor ... -150422119

What I am very curious is about the Cylinder portion of the tutorial... It isn't that clear to me...

The way the cylinders frame all the nice elliptic splits amazes me. What is the key to getting nice cylinder framing in fractals?

Any good Chaotica Elliptic Splits Tut's with Cylinders? I saw Tatasz's elliptic splits tut, but I don't think it went in to cylinders?

Correct me if I am wrong :) Would love to learn more on this!

cylinders work exactly same way as elliptics: they create vertical stripes.

there are no special tricks, you just fit the cylinders in (the logic is here: http://tatasz.deviantart.com/journal/Co ... -519706586), moving them with post transforms.
(you may increase the split width to make them fit).

tbh not something i use much as i am not a big fan of how they look and how everybody uses them just because satania did.

Hi Tatyana

First of all, I think it's awesome you're taking the time to help people so much with threads such as these.

I have a question regarding shaders in one of your videos, which I think would be more convenient to ask here (instead of making a whole new thread). I've linked it below. At 19 seconds in, how did you acquire/make those shaders? is there any way one can produce their own? When I follow the tutorial I have my square but when I click on shaders there are only solid colours available.

Thank you

Hmmm i just clicked randomize shaders at this point. You may also try editing or randomizing palette at some point (it will change the avaliable colours, but not the coloring pattern).
You can also edit the shaders from the editor, by setting different palette locations and blending speeds.

Thanks again!

If you have a second, could you help me understand how this flame was created - there is not much happening in the Transforms, so I am a bit baffled. Thanks in advance.
