Is there any way to have a permanent license generated so that when I'm off the grid, the software doesn't get throttled back to 1024x1024? I spent a good chunk of change on this. I'd like to be independent of your servers for authentication of a license when the software launches. I'm off-grid enough to make this quite annoying. |

Hi, yes the default licence type doesn't need any kind of internet connection and is based on your CPU and MAC address, i.e. if the machine stays unchanged the licence stays unchanged. You have to opt-in to online licensing, so by default everything is already as you describe. |

To the best of my memory, I don't recall having a choice when licensing the product. I was required to use the on-line licensing. It seemed strange at the time, but hasn't been annoying until recently. Now it has become an increasingly annoying problem. At any rate, what is the procedure to reset to default licensing? I paid a butt-load of money for this software, and it still lacks some of the features of Apophysis. It seems unfair to me that my use is throttled back when not connected to the grid, to say nothing of the possibility of being stuck with this should the company go belly up and shut down the licensing servers. |
