Hi,
When will v2.2.3 or v2.2.4 stable be released?, Chaotica is great but it's been a bit long waitin', maybe if v2.2.3 would've much lower speed because of OpenCL fix and that isn't tackled also then perhaps v2.2.4 is more optimized but if it takes so long for v2.2.3 to be done, I think... v2.2.4 could be done so loonger, can you give any estimate?
Mark

Once again, a year as passed and no news on development.
No news about an Apple Silicon Release...

At this point, if this were a honest company, it should write clearly on the website that development is dead; the macOS version should also be pulled from the website, as less and less intel macs are around these days, and pretty much almost none will be around in a few short years.

I have never seen such a disregard towards the customers in my life.

See you in 2 years, when perhaps you'll answer my message (and I'm a paying customer, by the way).

At this point I'm 100% convinced this has either evolved into a scam, or the developers just abandoned the project and forgot to close the website.

Both a total lack of respect towards customers.

I don't think it's a scam. I have spoken to the dev on occasion to help me with licensing issues. I'm ever hopeful that at some point development will continue. It's close to being the nicest flame editor out there and I just love opening it and exploring.

I think it would be nice to hear how progress is going, even if it's not great news. At least people would know. Me personally. I would love to see 16 bit color output as my no.1 request. A native M series build for OSX a close second.

As it stands I'm running on a Mac Studio M1 and it works mostly well. I think some attention to the UI would be welcome (hi dpi/retina preview) and easier scrolling of parameters. I also think it would be great to have a way to show/hide different iterators. I often need to delete them to see at a glance what influence they have on the final render. Small point, the pause/resume short key doesn't work on Mac, at least I can't get it working.

On rendering, depending on settings, the "Stopping SL" doesn't always work, along with issues with using it with animation renders. "Show presets folder" doesn't work either.

However, if and it would be a sad if...this is the last version to be built, it does work and is useable.

I've contacted the developers several times over the past year or more attempting to get out of the "on-line licensing" requirement. Every time I travel outside of internet access, I can no longer generate large flame files. I'm stuck with the 1024x1024 limit. Today I can't even get the damn thing to verify my license and I'm in a location with robust bandwidth.

I've sent PMs and was told that they would rectify this problem, but no joy. I stopped creatiing new chaos files more than a year ago because of this problem. I would like to be able to work with my pre-existing files but can't today because of licensing issues.

I paid for a license when I purchased the software that now is crippled. What happens when the project goes belly-up and the servers get shut down? Will we all be saddled with crippled software?

I recently tried to contact the developer. Unfortunately no response... I'm fortunate that I have a permanent license on my main computer. However, if I replace it in the future then that's that. I really hope that a roaming license can be given to us, even if it is curtains.

Same feeling over here.

I understand that firms essentially drop their product, and no longer update it.
But if I spent my money on it, I must be allowed to use it, updated or not.
That is a customer right, not a privilege to be granted at the whim of a firm.

If the firm cannot be bothered with pouring any further money into the license server, then they could just send every customer an e-mail announcing a customer key stored in their account, to be inserted in a minor update that only replaces the online license.
