Hello there Peeps,
I thought I would introduce myself, having just registered here.
I actually thought I was already registered under the name of synkrotron but I couldn't remember my password. A password reset wouldn't work, I don't think, because I recently had to get a new address from my ISP due to the old one being compromised.
I tried to register again, using synkrotron, but the name was already taken, which suggested to me that I was correct.
I contacted support but they couldn't find that user name or the old e-mail address associated with the forum, which is strange, and now that I have registered, using my real name, and I can access the members list, there is no synkrotron.
No matter! I am here and so pleased to see that the long awaited version 2 of the software is currently in beta.
I was first introduced to JWildfire back in 2016 and I was immediately interested in creating my own computer generated art.
Then around the end of 2016 I discovered Chaotica and as much as I enjoyed JWildfire I found Chaotica easier to use. And the biggest thing of all was the ability to create animations.
My main hobby is creating music, although I suppose calling it "music" is a bit of a stretch. I like putting my music and Chaotica animations together and sticking them on YouTube.
I am far from being a power user and the math side of things totally loses me. That said, I always start from scratch.
I have a DA account, though I am not that active on it to be honest, and I have worked through some great tutorials on there.
I don't want to spam any links in my first post here, although I should apologise for those that appear in my signature. That is just a habit of setting up my profile at any forum.
cheers for now,
andy (aka synkrotron)
